Pan-Seared Tilapia with Lemon, Butter, and Capers
Ingredients
- 4 tilapia fillet
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 cloves garlic, chopped
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1/4 cup capers, rinsed
- 1/3 cup white wine more or less as desired
- zest of one lemon
- juice of one lemon
- salt and pepper
Instructions
- Wash and dry the tilapia fillet. Season with salt and pepper.
- Heat the oil and butter, and fry the tilapia on both sides. Remove to keep warm.
- Add the onion and garlic and sautee until soft.
- Add the capers, white wine, lemon zest, lemon juice, and tilapia fillets to warm through.
- Spoon the sauce over the fillets, and serve straight from the skillet.
