Pan-Seared Tilapia with Lemon, Butter, and Capers

Pan-Seared Tilapia with Lemon, Butter, and Capers

Ingredients
  

  • 4 tilapia fillet
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1/4 cup capers, rinsed
  • 1/3 cup white wine more or less as desired
  • zest of one lemon
  • juice of one lemon
  • salt and pepper

Instructions
 

  • Wash and dry the tilapia fillet. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Heat the oil and butter, and fry the tilapia on both sides. Remove to keep warm.
  • Add the onion and garlic and sautee until soft.
  • Add the capers, white wine, lemon zest, lemon juice, and tilapia fillets to warm through.
  • Spoon the sauce over the fillets, and serve straight from the skillet.
