Pan-Seared Tilapia with Lemon, Butter, and Capers

Pan-Seared Tilapia with Lemon, Butter, and Capers

  • 4 tilapia fillet
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1/4 cup capers, rinsed
  • 1/3 cup white wine (more or less as desired)
  • zest of one lemon
  • juice of one lemon
  • salt and pepper
  1. Wash and dry the tilapia fillet. Season with salt and pepper.

  2. Heat the oil and butter, and fry the tilapia on both sides. Remove to keep warm.

  3. Add the onion and garlic and sautee until soft.

  4. Add the capers, white wine, lemon zest, lemon juice, and tilapia fillets to warm through.

  5. Spoon the sauce over the fillets, and serve straight from the skillet.
